Like an intruder in the night
he tracked every corner of my mind
searching for dishonesty,
he thieved my compassion
yet he still could not find
the lock to break me

With offence
he damned me to the gutters of his twisted lies,
empty promises, I’m buried under
and I still protect his disguise

I stood beside

but beneath his feet is where he kept me

Lucid moments in between this madness
I cry at night for my heart you defeated,
conflicted by your version of reality
causes me anxiety
